Features

What it does

  • 01

    One tap, one quote

No feed, no infinite scroll, no algorithm deciding what you see next.

  • 02

    Read aloud

Any quote can be spoken, using the voices already installed on your device.

  • 03

    Hand-picked

Over fourteen hundred quotations, chosen rather than scraped. Attribution is best-effort and corrections are welcome.

  • 04

    On every screen

A Home Screen and Lock Screen widget that changes through the day, and a standalone Apple Watch app.

  • 05

    Copy and share

Copying a quote puts it on your clipboard. If you have Universal Clipboard switched on, that is an Apple feature and it is controlled in your settings — the app never reads your clipboard.

Tapping Recommend another app asks iOS to present Apple’s own App Store card. Apple fetches and renders it; the app itself sends and receives nothing.

Worth knowing

Attribution is best-effort

Famous quotations are famously misattributed, passed between books, posters and the internet until the wrong name sticks harder than the right one. We correct errors when we learn of them and would be glad to hear about one. If a quotation matters — for a speech, an essay, a tattoo — check it against a primary source first.

The words are other people's

The quotations belong to whoever said or wrote them. The selection, arrangement and presentation are ours.
